Zander is famous!

How can I forget to tell you the story about Zander's first basketball game at the Kohl Center. It was mid November when Mom and Tom took all three of us to Badger Men's Basketball game. We saw IUPU - Fort Wayne, which is Dane Fife's team (former IU player). We had the seats behind the opposing bench and while Zander was sitting on my lap jamming to the UW band - I looked up at the jumbotron and it was the cutest baby EVER - yep Zander was shown on the jumbotron for a good minute or so. He was jamming to the UW band! Tony then ran into some of Ruthie and Louie friends who asked if Tony had a baby and he said "yes" and they said "we thought that had to be a Vosberg baby!!" Wow, the Vosberg genes are strong enough to be noticed amongst 17,000 people! Watch out ladies under one, there is a single Vosberg hunk roaming the world!!

Well as most of you know we do not have a Christmas tree or any decorations for that matter and Zander is dealing with it just fine! You know my motto - if you have to store it longer than it is up, why have it?? We did buy Zander a little something for Christmas - a big ol' Tonka truck that I think may be bigger than him. Tony has wanted to give him a truck since we found out we were having a boy, so this was the perfect time to give him one. Yes, we will take pictures of him opening it.

Zander got his six month pictures taken two weekends ago and he didn't smile much but they were all soooo very adorable. If you want to see a few of them, visit Krista's blog at http://kristaroderphotography.wordpress.com/. I ordered the entire CD because I couldn't decide which ones to order. Once I get the CD I will download them so you can see them all. We found out on Sunday that he was pushing out a tooth so hence not many smiles. He now has two teeth on the bottom and it looks like the top ones are getting ready as his gums are pretty swollen.

We went to the doctor yesterday (12/21) and he was 19 lbs and 26.5 inches long. He is doing well for growth and developmentper the doctor, so that is always nice to hear. He got four shots too, he was smiling again until the darn needle goesinto the leg then he cries but then when she was done he stopped and began to fall asleep and that was without Tylenol.

Again Merry Christmas to you. As you have probably noticed we don't send Christmas cards, consider this your Christmas card!

Here is a picture with all his friends at daycare - they had a party in their room on the 21st.

What a month!

(picture taken at daycare this week)

Sorry I have not been great at posting these past few weeks, I had some of my family in town over Thanksgiving then I had finals for school. As of Monday, my semester is officially done - YAY. Today we are stuck in the house due to awful winter storm. We got about 12 inches of snow and now it is blowing. Three kids just came to the door asking if we wanted our driveway and sidewalk shoveled - both in shock, we of course said "sure!" So what better time to update my blog than today.

Well let's start at the beginning of the month. We had Tony's sister (Cindy), brother-in-law (Chris) and their two kids Alyssa and Bryce up for a Badger football game. The guys went to the game, but we got to tailgate with them beforehand. Here are pictures from the tailgate and of course Zander got to experience his first tailgate, even the band. He liked the noise until they began walking right by Zander that is when he didn't like the band so much! We had a great time seeing them as always!

Then came my family arriving into town the following week. We had Thanksgiving with my Dad and his wife Bernita at our house, after eating a ton we ended up going to the park just up the road that was fun - by the way it was in the 50's. Then the following week we spent all of our time at my Mom's because my Grandparents and my Great Aunt and Uncle came up for Thanksgiving. It was a blast all being together, it went way to fast. My nephew Tyler went deer hunting with Tom and he shot a deer! Tyler also worked with Tony one of the days and helped build walls, used a nail gun, skill saw, staple gun and drove the skytrak. He is wanting to come out next summer to work. Thanks Ty, Ty for helping your Uncle Tony build the house.
http://photos1.walmart.com/thumbnailshare/AlbumID=1871896005/a=24700081_24700081/

We had Vosberg Thanksgiving on Wednesday night. All 30 of us were there, we took family pictures. My Dad and Bernita came down with us and took the pictures. They turned out great. I will not let you preview those yet, as they aren't final. Stay tuned.

We booked our annual winter getaway to Puerta Vallerta for the end of January. There will be ten of us going so it should be a great time. Our friend Matt found the deal on Friday and we were all booked by Saturday afternoon. We typically do not decide that fast but on this deal we just couldn't pass it up. We are really looking forward to it, and I can’t wait to enjoy some fruity cocktails!! :-)

Last week, we were lucky enough to go to the Duke/Wisconsin men's basketball game with my Mom and Tom. If you saw the game or the score it was quite the game, not only to see Wisconsin beat Duke but also to see Coach Mike Krzyzewski (Duke coach, yes I had to look up how to spell his name!) but also see my HERO Coach Bob Knight. I kept telling Tony can you believe we are seeing legends tonight. Wow!!! We didn’t take Zander along to the game instead he got to spend time with Grandma Ruthie (Tony’s Mom). Thanks Grandma Ruthie

Now for Zander's milestones, are you ready?
He got his first tooth over Thanksgiving, actually the Sunday before Turkey Day Aunt Kalli noticed the tooth!
He has forgotten about rolling over and has moved on to cooler things like sitting up on his own.
We have his six month doctor’s appointment next Monday the 21st so we will see how big he has gotten. Oh and he is not sleeping through the night but we are working on it, he is only getting up once a night but he has to work hard for the bottle - we are letting him cry for up to an hour before giving it to him. Since he is almost six months, he should be sleeping through the night. Will keep you updated on that. It's only been four nights and he has improved!

And last but not least, my great friend Liz had her baby shower last weekend. She is due in January with a boy - Landon. They are those ones who live about six blocks away so watch out for Landon and Zander!

Halloween

Sorry it took so long for us to post the pictures from Halloween. The winners this year were: Gubba (guy in white tux) and Amy (I don't think I need to point her out although those jeans are real Jordache!)

Zander's first Halloween

Here is Zander at daycare today, he is next to his girlfriend Jocelyn. She was the one a few weeks ago who was talking to him on the floor and they were holding hands before Tony got there. We found out today Jocelyn is movin' on up to the next room - Hippo room. So he will need to find a new girlfriend in the class, don't worry he has lots of choices as they just got two new girls last week.

The costume came all the way from Phoenix AZ. I was scrambling this week to find a costume because I was not going to buy him one just for a few hours at daycare. My boss was kind enough to send two costumes for us that her Mom made for her two kids. Thanks Peg, as you can see he loves it!

Alright tomorrow is our big 80's party. Check back on Sunday to see pictures!

Happy Halloween! Tony and I are off to Josh and Shawn's wedding now. Yes, Kalli we pawned Zander off with Dan and Liz tonight.

4 months and he is a genius!

We went to his four month appointment yesterday and he is 16 pounds, 6 ounces and 26 inches long. He is in the 80% tile for all. So as Dr. Trias's says "everything looks beautiful, really beautiful!"

As you know he started on cereal a few weeks ago. We began giving him baby food tonight. That was fun, his first taste of baby food - peas. I am not sure why I started with something I don't even like. His face was priceless, he kept giving a look like am I suppose to like this, he continued to eat it so that is good. We will continue with peas for the next 4-5 days. Tony is most excited about feeding him baby food because he can't stand the look and smell of the cereal.

They are impressed with his head control and the rolling over. He now rolls from his belly onto his back over and over again!

Here is a picture of Zander and I. Isn't he adorable!
Here is a picture of him from daycare yesterday. Look at that big ol' smile, now you see why I don't worry about him during the day!

This weekend we are going to the best show ever in Tony's eyes, the Food and Wine show. We have 10 friends going with us so that will be a lot of fun! Liz is taking the DD role from me this year since she is pregnant. Poor girl! And then next weekend is our big halloween party - this year's theme - 80's. I doubt I will have time to post between now and then but check back after halloween to see Zander's costume. Oh yeah, he is going to be in 80's!!!

Zander's on Youtube!

I finally downloaded some short videos of Zander. Enjoy!!

We broke out the jumparoo today and he loves it. He is getting his legs ready for playing basketball at Indiana basketball!

Zander loves his cereal!

Zander began eating cereal on Friday. He did great, on Saturday we were over at Amy, Erik and Grace's house and he was whinning because I was taking too long getting the cereal to his mouth. It was quite funny! I guess he is ready for cereal. We are hoping this helps him sleep longer than 3 hour stretches. So far it has not but we are still hopeful.

Another milestone that was met this week was he rolled over for the first time from his belly to his back. We were clapping and cheering after he did it and he was just so confused on why we were so happy. He hasn't done it since, I am sure he doesn't want us to act like that again, so he will keep to his back.

We went to Tony's cousin/good friends of ours KC and Julie's wedding last weekend (10-3). It was a blast. Julie (and KC) planned the wedding in three weeks, and it was beautiful. Who says you need a year to plan it? Just ask Julie! The wedding was at KC's parents cabin in Phillips WI, which is a little less than 4 hours away. It is amazing up there. His parents have a waterfront lot for sale, so you know who is eyeing that up. That's right Zander and I. Now we just have to get Tony on board with it. That won't take long with Zander's laugh, my smile and a few cocktails. haha. Little Zander is not so little anymore!

Yes, we are still here. I have been busy celebrating my 30th birthday! What has happened the last few weeks? Where do I start? Zander has found his hands that are now in his mouth constantly! He either has his fist in there, a finger or sometimes even his thumb. It’s quite cute. Then the past few days he has learned how to talk. Wow, does he talk and it doesn’t stop – oh, oh he takes after his Mom. He definitely knows who Tony is, I think he spends more time with him than me. Last night I got home from class I was holding and kissing him and he was just starring at Tony. I said “no Mom is over here” he didn’t care he wanted to see his Daddy. Oh well, at least he likes one of us at this point.
He is doing really well at school, he has so much too look at that he doesn’t take a full bottle, he just snacks. He had his school pictures taken a few weeks ago, so those should be cute Ms. Amber said he did well. Yesterday Tony picked him up and he was laying next to Jocelyn and she was just talking away at him and he was just starring at her. I guess earlier they were even holding hands. Oh, oh Zander is already getting the ladies!
Tony and I had our first full weekend away from Zander – we celebrated my 30th birthday in style. We went to Chicago – shopped for two days, went on a dinner cruise on Friday night and then on Saturday night (my actual birthday 9/19) we had dinner at the Signature Room on the 95th floor of the John Hancock building. Wow was that the best meal I ever had. Then we went out on the town to a few of our favorite bars.
Last weekend – I had a girls weekend, they surprised me with a trip to Galena, IL. We went to a winery, spa, stayed at Amy Bo’s grandparents second home which is a beautiful home in the territories and then danced the night away at a local bar. I didn’t know where we were doing until we got to the winery! It was a great surprise with my friends – Amy Be, Amy Bo, Liz, Julie (who is getting married this weekend up north!), Lila, Alli, Teresa, and my Mom. Oh yes, I can not forget the best part of the night when my Mom was getting hit on at the bar. This guy was putting his arm around her said some things I can’t repeat and kept telling her she had to be six years old when she had me. It was quite funny! Thanks ladies for making my 30th birthday so special.
As soon as I get my pictures uploaded I will send a link. But for now enjoy a picture from Zander at daycare today.

We survived our first day!

Zander and I survived our first day, yesterday! His first day at daycare went really well. I dropped him off as he was laughing and smiling, so needless to say I didn't cry. I picked him up and he was crying because he was hungry however when he heard my voice he stopped and started smiling and cooing. That made my day - he really knows who I am! :-)
My first day at work went well and went really fast. I looked at the clock thinking it was 10 but it was 1:00. I am still going through emails but I am glad to be back at work.
I then had school and I will admit it was a long day since I was at school until 9 pm. But Tony was nice enough to take both feedings last night so I was able to be fully rested for today!
For Zander's second day, Ms. Amy and Ms. Michelle (Zander's teachers) did painting with Zander. He got to paint with his feet. It is absolutely adorable the picture they took of him in his diaper. Ms. Amy told me that he was so confused as to why there was wet cold stuff on his feet that was colorful, but he loved it and loved getting his feet washed afterwards!
Here is a picture of Zander and I on our first day!
It looks like Zander already has some of Grandma Ruthie's artistic ability!

Like father like son!

Zander is now 9 weeks old and growing like a weed. He is now wearing 3-6 months onesies and sleepers but in 0-3 month pants however they are short on him but they are so big they fall off his waist. Just like Tony - tall, skinny and no butt! :-)

Below is a picture I took of him last night. He was starring at the TV and what was on - football. As you can imagine Tony is excited that Zander already likes football already. Just wait until basketball begins and Zander will be cheering with his Mom.

Tony and I are heading out of town tomorrow for our annual camping/canoe trip. My Mom is taking Zander for the night, first night without Mr. Z man. It should be fun, although very chilly as the high for the day is suppose to be 63.

Look at Zander's hippo hat that he got from Cousin Owen! He loves it. As you can see it won't fit for much longer, so luckily the next few days will be chilly so he will be able to wear it.
Zander's two month appointment was this past Monday. He was 13 pounds and 23.5 inches long. He got some shots and did pretty well. He mostly liked the rotovirus drink - it's sugary. He kept wanting more, so he got the Vosberg sweet tooth!

Tuesday, August 11, 2009

Look at those cheeks!

Zander has been busy the past few weeks. Wow!! I have many picutures to show, so click on the link below to view all of them - baptism, Kalli's visit, Zander's favorite sling and Zander in the bumbo. The best one is Zander in the bumbo with his sandals and shades on ready to go to State Street with the family!

Ok, so yes we put Zander in the bumbo chair. I found out that it is a little to early to put him in it, but as you will see in the pictures he loved it! So we will hold off on putting him in there for another month or so.

The baptism went well, Zander got a little fussy during it, but it was due to a wet diaper. He hates having a wet diaper. So we go through more than the average amount of diapers.

We had a great time while Kalli was here. She and my Mom even woke up in the middle of the night to feed Zander, so we were able to get a full nights rest. We miss Aunt Kalli already, but Zander is looking forward to her next visit in November when everyone is coming home for Thanksgiving. So Zander will have fun keeping an eye on all the boys! We can't wait to see Owen (Kristen's son) and Zander interact because by then Owen will be eight months and Z-man will be five months.

Zander is just beginning to roll onto his side every once in awhile and he is starting to grab at toys although not quite holding on to them yet.

This past weekend Tony's Mom came up and babysat while we went to the Brewer Game on a coach bus! It was really fun and we are the parents who didn't call home. We knew he was being well taken care of. Tony's brother and his wife were at the same game so we were able to meet up with them a few times.

Now this weekend, we are going camping with friends up north with Zander. We are looking forward to our first family trip away from home. I think I may need to rent a truck to haul all the stuff I plan on packing. I am not sure how all of it is going to fit in our car, let alone the trailer we are staying in! It should be interesting.

I am done with school for the next few weeks! If you can believe it, I got A's in both classes! So since I did so well I am going to take three classes this fall that way I graduate sooner. Yes, it sounds hectic just thinking about it but it will just be overwhelming for a few months. So Tony will be Super Dad!

I go back to work September 8th, I am looking forward to getting back into a routine.

Ok, I think that is enough of an update for now!

Isn't he adorable?

Here is a new picture of Zander. No new tricks except he is smiling and cooing more and more every day. We have his baptism this weekend and his Aunt Kalli is coming to visit on Friday from Portland. He is getting really excited to finally meet her. Everytime I tell Zander about Aunt Kalli he starts moving his legs and arms! :-) So it should be a fun week.

I keep forgetting to post this for readers who are around the Madison area. We have a good friend, Rod Timmerman who just opened a towing company in Madison - Liberty Towing. So if you are stranded, have an accident or lock your keys in your car. Here is who you should call. All the other towing companies will not give you the service Rod and Simon will! :-)

Smiley little guy!

Little Zander, is not so little anymore. He is really starting to let me say fill out. He is on the verge of having a beer belly or should I say a formula belly! He has started to smile and coo. So it has been fun to see finally some fun milestones. He loves laying underneath the playmat and he loves his vibrating chair. He sleeps in his crib now, so no more carseat in the crib. What a man! We are still going to the chiropractor but he has shown wonderful improvement he only has about three more adjustments.

I got rid of my maternity clothes this past weekend. I am very excited to be in normal clothes again, so much that I am back to being a shopaholic!

I am almost done with school for the semester so you probably won't see an update for a few weeks.
Here are two pictures from today, showing off his smile!

One month

It's hard to believe Zander is a month old. We are all adjusting well. He sleeps well at night, he is up every 2-3 hours and during the day he doesn't want to miss anything so he sleeps about 2-3 hours.

Zander and I are going to the chiropractor three times a week. He was getting a little fussy and with the delivery we had I thought it might help and it sure has! The doctor is working on his neck and tailbone area. The first visit Dr. Krantz held his head in his palm and gently massaged the top of his neck and you could see instant relief in Zander. He was crying and then as he massaged he stopped crying and you could see he was relaxed.

I sent a letter a few months ago to Coach Crean (IU basketball coach) and we received a letter back from Coach Crean. As you can imagine, I was pretty excited to see a letter from Bloomington, Indiana.

We got pictures taken of Zander a few weeks ago. Krista did such a great job we are having a hard time deciding on which ones to pick! Here is the website and login:

http://www.kristaroderphotography.com/, click on client login (bottom right corner) and type ZV73 as his password. The pictures will appear!

He is beginning to smile when we talk to him. Here is a picture. You can see he is definately growing!

Hope all is well with everyone!

Take care-

Two weeks old!

Zander is adjusting to life pretty well so far! (knock on wood) He had his two week checkup yesterday and he his tipping the scale at 8 lbs 5 ozs. His cone head has gone down so he is 20.5 inches tall. The doctor assured me he didn't shrink, so that's good. And the problem with his left arm - erb palsy is getting better. I may not have mentioned this but his nerves on his left side were stretched during delivery so his left arm was limp and he didn't really move it much. But now he is moving it just as much as his right and lifting it above his head. So we continue to do stretches and tummy time to strengthen his arm so he can one day be am IU basketball player. :-)

We finally got out of the house on Saturday and showed him off at two different parties. He did really well, so well that at one of the parties they were shooting off fireworks and Zander continued to sleep through them. Getting him use to noise - you know I am not a quiet person so I don't think it will take long for him to sleep through anything!

Last week we met with Krista and had his newborn pictures taken. I can't wait to see them, she had props and everything for him to lay in. Of course we took some nude, and you can just imagine what happened when we took his diaper off - yep, he marked his territory! Once I get the link to the pictures I will foward it on. Stay tuned!

Here is a family picture of us. Enjoy! Yes, I need to get some sun.

He is a genius already!

Zander is quite the little guy already! He is enjoying tummy time - moves his head from right to left. He is smiling but I think it is gas, but I will take it as he is smiling at me! :-)

Zander has had quite the week already and it's only Wednesday. He went on his first rode trip to Indiana on Monday to see his Great Grandparents and Tuesday evening we had newborn pictures taken, although it was too cloudy so we are going to try again on Friday.

Here are some updated pictures of the little guy as well as pictures of his cousins. My younger sister Kristen was here for the past week, so we attempted to take some pictures of Zander, Owen and Emily (my brother Kory's daughter). As you will notice, Zander was the well behaved one just sleeping on the boppy while Owen had enough towards the end and Emily just wanted to play basketball!

Zander has entered the world!

Zander Luke Vosberg arrived on Saturday, June 20th at 7:17am. He weighed 7lbs 13oz and was 21 inches long. He was so happy to come into the world that he ended up peeing all over the doctors! Zander is doing very well-we went to the doctor yesterday and is back up to 7lb 7oz. He is loving his formula and is eating 2oz. every 3 hours. I, on the other hand, am still recovering from delivery. It was an extremely difficult delivery, after having contractions for 36 hours and pushing for 3 hours! Since Zander wasn't coming out without a fight, the doctors ended up having to use forceps. In turn I ended up with a broken tailbone and a third degree tear. Ouch! Luckily my mom has been staying with us and has been a huge help!

I am going to put up pictures as soon as the computer cooperates! I am sorry! So, keep checking back, I will post them as soon as the site lets me!

We would like to thank you for all the nice text messages, emails, calls, and cards. We don't mean to be ignoring anyone, but my tailbone has kept me in bed! I hope it will be better soon so we can show off the little guy! Zander wants to show off his dark locks and adorable face! We will blog again soon once my butt starts to feel better!!

When will Zander arrive?

My due date is tomorrow (June 15th), we are getting very anxious for his arrival. Ok, I am getting frustrated that he isn't here yet. We went to the doctor on Tuesday and no progress whatsoever, so Dr. Thousand scheduled me to be induced on June 23rd. So at least there is an end in sight.

I think Zander is sitting in there with his arms folded and laughing at me because he knows he is controlling this situation! The past few weeks I have tried everything to induce myself, but nothing worked - long walks, bumpy car ride, spicy foods, pineapple, balsamic vinegar - you name it I tried it. So for those of you pregnant, don't try it - it doesn't work!

Thursday, May 14, 2009

Holy cats!

Here is an updated picture, enjoy! Just one month until my due date. Although June 3rd I plan to induce myself using home remedies. We will see if they work! :-)

Oh that's right I have a blog!

Sorry it's been awhile since our last post. We are just about there - 5 weeks left!!
A few stories since March Madness:
Zander's butt continues to be in conflict with my ribs. As the books say he is gaining a 1/2 pound per week now, which means his butt is getting bigger and he is getting longer. So not only am I anxious to meet the little guy but I am also looking forward to no pain in my ribs.
When I was about 30 weeks I decided to wear stilleto heels to work and all be darn if they didn't break. So I have resorted to flats or shorter heels. Oh, how my life has changed already! Don't worry folks I will be back into stilletos just after Zander's arrival. However I will save my broken shoe to show him when he is older.
A few weeks ago I went and got pictures taken of my belly. I was a little hesitant about getting pictures taken, but Krista made me feel so comfortable that I even showed my skin! To view the pictures, go to: http://www.kristaroderphotography.com/, click on client log in (bottom right corner) and enter KV418 and submit. There are a lot of good ones, so enjoy.
With the economy the way it is - Tony has been slow the past month or so. Which worked out great, he has been able to get Zander's room done, build a sandbox, build a few book shelves for the office and Zander's closet, finish the two bedrooms downstairs and finally get to the to-do list I have had since we moved in.
Here are a few pictures of the room and sandbox! Zander is already spoiled and hasn't even arrived yet!

March Madness!!

Oh, we love this time of the year - March Madness is here and spring is around the corner. In years past, Tony and I bet on the NCAA tournament just the two of us and this year our bet is who ever gets the most teams right will only have to wake up with Zander 3 nights a week. Unfortunately I lost, so I am waking up 4 nights a week. Yes, the tournament is not over but I am that far behind, there is not a chance I would win.

We had our last monthly appointment last Tuesday - the doctor thinks his head is down and his butt in on my ribs. Lovily! That explains the pain I have all day under my ribs. We will now see the doctor every two weeks. I can't believe how fast it has gone.

We got his room almost ready! Thanks to Amy - she came over a few weekends ago and helped design the room. We are excited to show pictures but it's not quite there yet.

I am now in maternity pants full time and in order to stay sane, I have figured out two positives of wearing the unflattering pants. 1) I don't have to worry about my zipper being down and 2) my underwear won't peak out the back when sitting!

Here is a picture of me at 29 weeks and I also attached a picture of me at the Big Ten Tournament with my Hoosier shirt on! Unfortuantely I did not meet Coach Crean but maybe some day since he will be Zander's coach in 18 years.

Another boy!

Kristen and Parker are proud parents of a boy! Owen Ranier Marquardt. Welcome to the family Owen. He was born a few hours ago and weighs 7 pounds, 11 ounces. If you would like to see pictures, click on the Marquardt Family link on the bottom of our blog.

Zander has been kicking ever since we got the phone call, so he is pretty excited to have another cousin to play with.

Kristen and Parker - just another reason to move to Wisconsin.

3rd Trimester!

Well first I would like to say my younger sister Kristen is in labor as we speak, I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of Baby Marquardt. We can't wait to hear - I will keep you posted.
It is hard to believe I am in my 3rd trimester already! We have a lot to do before the little guy arrives like decorate his room. I know as big of a planner as I am you would have thought the room would be done by now, but we haven't started yet. We are still trying to find the bedding and furniture for him.

Zander is definately hanging out on my right side and he likes to jab my ribs - it's a great feeling! I keep poking him to move but he seems to go right back to the same spot. I hope he doesn't have indents all over his body from all my pokes!

Here are a few pictures of me, our diaper bag and Zander's first IU clothing! (thanks Grandma Bonnie)

Yep, my boobs are bigger than my belly. And they continue to grow, pretty soon I will have to get a back brace to hold 'um up.

Meet Zander!

My apologies for taking so long to post pictures of Zander. So I think we can all agree it is indeed a boy by looking at this picture!

He has been moving quite a bit the past few weeks, it is nice to know he is enjoying himself in there. We all know Tony and I could not create a calm child, so get ready!
Next week I will post more pictures from our trip to the Big Ten Tournament. I am hoping to meet Coach Crean and let him know Zander will be playing for Indiana in 2027.
GO HOOSIERS!

Where are my ankles?!

I am now 21 weeks, just over half way done! I thought you would all enjoy seeing my belly as I can't hide it anymore. Tony thinks I am a cute pregnant lady, so that is all that counts, right?!

I haven't had strong cravings, just strange ones such as; Cranberry Juice, Honey Roasted Peanuts (from Menards), Peanut Butter, Honey Crisp apples and Chinese Food. The one thing I still can't eat much of is red meat. I am not sure if my stomach still remembers my sick days, but a big ol' steak doesn't sound good at all.
Even though we know it's a boy, I still can't find the right bedding yet. I am searching the internet trying to find the perfect decor for little Zander. We are taking a trip to IKEA next week in hopes to find something there. We will keep you updated on the room.
Take care-

We are back!

We had a great time in Mexico with Cindy and Chris. We relaxed everyday by the beach and steps away from the bar and grill! I (Kacey) tried to go into the ocean on Wednesday to play catch but was met by a school of fish. In my mind they were HUGE (and trying to eat me), but in Tony, Cindy and Chris's mind they were harmless. The weather was warm and sunny everyday!

So we were sad to come home but excited to have our ultrasound on Monday (today). And lucky for us "it" cooperated with us and we were lucky enough to find out the gender. We are not going to tell you hopefully by this picture you can figure it out!

A few updates on lil' Zander:
He weighs 15 oz.
His heartbeat is 162.
His legs were moving so much it was difficult to get a good picture of them. Oh oh-we have an active one already!
Tony thinks he already have long arms, which means he will be a good rebounder for the Indiana Hoosiers! :-)

Here is a 20 week picture:

As soon as I get all the Mexico pictures uploaded I will include the link.

Take care!

18 weeks!

Not much there yet, although my pants are a bit tight! Will send better pictures once we are back from Mexico, it's too cold to put on just a tank top.
Take care-

Welcome to our blog!

Happy New Year! We hope you all enjoyed Christmas and New Years. We brought in the New Year with friends at the Mounds Country Club in Fort. It was a great time to say the least!! I enjoyed not being hungover and remembering the entire night. Open bar is guaranteed to spark some funny situations!!! Tony was not feeling very well on NYD, and of course since I have been sick he received absolutely no sympathy from me! Be sure to ask Tony how to take a lemon drop shot. That night he couldn't figure out how to drink the shot and suck on the lemon. It was quite amusing!

On to more important topic-The baby! We scheduled our ultrasound to (hopefully) find out the gender on Monday, Jan 26th. So check back to find out if it's Zander (boy) or Zoe (girl)! I am hoping "it" cooperates with us. Otherwise I may have to do a flip or something so I am guarenteed to find out. Once we find out I can FINALLY start decorating the room. I have lots of ideas and projects to do but do not want to do anything until I know who it is. I should say, Tony has lots of projects.

We leave for Playa Del Carmen, Mexico next Saturday (Jan 17th) with Tony's sister, Cindy and brother in law, Chris. We will be staying 7 wonderful days in sunny Mexico. Unfortunately this year I will not get to enjoy the fruity alcoholic beverages, but I will certainly drink my share of non-alcoholic beverages. YUMMY!

Next post will be who it is, so check back in a few weeks.

Take care!

Kacey & Tony
