Two posts in one week!

I posted on Sunday so if you haven't read that - you can read two posts from us in one week.

Anyway, I had to share a few pictures from school (aka daycare) this week because they were too funny not to share.

Here is the post from his teacher - Ms. Kathy: Zander wasn't too sure about playing with the leaves that were in the bucket. He shook his head no when I asked him if he wanted to hold any. But then he brought over his vacuum to clean up our mess. So cute!

Zander and Luke thought it was funny to help Ms. Stacy stomp on the leaves!!

Zander went over to sit on the soft climber after I asked him to come over and join us. (Doesn't he like as if, he's so sad to play with leaves).

It's Mr. Zander now!

I haven’t posted since end of July. Ooops! We are still alive and doing great.

Zander updates:
1) He is walking and running around – he loves it. We bought him a battery operated four wheeler last week and loves riding that around although he is having a difficult time pressing the button for it to go. So he pushes the button then stops and rocks back and forth trying to get it to go again.
2) He loves trucks, busses, tractors anything boy! He went to his first tailgate yesterday for the Badgers and we sat him in his stroller right by the sidewalk, he sat there most of the time watching the traffic and people. He even got a sticker from some cute college chicks and had a few other college girls tell him how cute he was. Already a ladies man!
3) Zander will be Superman for Halloween. We went camping last weekend for Halloween so he dressed up in his costume and we walked around to the campsites for trick-or-treat and drink-or-treat for adults! They have shots for the adults and candy for the kids.

4) As we have stated previously, Zander may be a genius so he is moving up to the next classroom at school (aka-daycare) on Nov 1st. He will be moving from the Monkey room to the Gazelle room.
5) He is really starting to talk and use words. He also signs many words thanks to school and Grandma Bonnie, for example he signs – milk, please. It’s quite cute.
6) Here is a picture of Zander yesterday afternoon, he sat and pulled every kleenex out of the box and shredded each one. What a mess, but he had fun doing it.

We are doing a bit of remodeling/redecorating in our house – it’s been three years, time for some change. We are going to get rid of the god awful counters in the laundry room, redecorate our room including new furniture and put a wood floor in the rec area – from the bar past the air hockey table.

6 weeks and counting until graduation!!

Zander Videos!

Kristen is home this week and was kind enough to show me how to upload videos, so here are a few for you to enjoy. Don't worry each video is about 30 seconds to a minute long.

This first one will bring you back to Zander's due date. If you remember like I do, I was six days late. He was due on Monday June 15th and he finally arrived on ySaturday morning. Please note - I was rather large and well let's just say pissy! :-)

This is Zander loving his jumper. (this was taped back in May)

A few milestones to tell you about:

He is WALKING!!!!!! Yay, Zander. He is not doing it 100% of the time but he is much happier when he does take those steps!

He is starting to use utensils to feed himself and it's pretty funny to watch, well and messy too.

He continues to get more and more teeth, he now has his molars and he is getting his eye teeth. Chomp, chomp...

Here is the link to his one year pictures if you haven't seen them already. I will have to say they are all adorable - Krista did a fantastic job!

Zander is 1

Happy Summer!
At the Vosberg household we are enjoying Zander growing and learning new tricks everyday.

He is a Monkey starting tomorrow at school (aka daycare). He will begin taking one nap a day and sleeping on a mat instead of a crib or pack-n-play. Wow, what a big boy! He will also have gym and library once a week. The teachers told me that once they all walk they will get the kids in a line, hold hands and walk down the hallway. I told them to take a picture of that sometime because that would be quite cute and I need proof they can get eight one year olds in a line! :-)

A few new tricks of his:
-Blowing kisses, not only does he give nice slobbery kisses he now will blow kisses too!
-He waves goodbye and hello to everyone.
-He flirts with the ladies. Zander and I went up to Lake Arrowhead (1.5 hours from Madison) and stayed with my good friend Alli, her parents have a cabin and she was up there with her two kids (Evan, 3 and Piper, 1) and her Mom. So we went up on Monday and came home on Wednesday. We went to the pool on Tuesday and there was a female lifeguard about 16. He kept smiling at her and laughing, waving and blowing her kisses. She kept saying how adorable he was, and I said if he is a flirt now, I can't imagine what is going to happen in 15 years YIKES!
-During our visit to Lake Arrowhead, Zander faced his fears with pools and went in and enjoyed every minute. We put him in a raft and he whined for a bit but after about 5 minutes, he loved it. Maybe he was showing off to the lifeguard. Either way, he conquered his fear. Now I just need to get him in the pool more often. The lake is still an issue, but it doesn't help that I won't get in the water so why would he?!

His newest trick, as of yesterday was when you ask what a cow says, he says "mmoooooo" I am not sure what animal should be next, not the dog - that's for sure! :-)He is not walking yet, but oh sooo very close. He walks around with a walker, and if he needs to turn or get around something he whips it around, like he is a professional. It's quite cute. If I only knew how to upload videos. Kristen, I am hoping you can help me upload a few videos in a few weeks?! Please!

Camping is going well, we have gone a few times since buying the camper but each time rain has followed us. But we have enjoyed our camping trips even with the rain.

Here is a recent picture of him at daycare. I have many pictures on my camera, but school is quite demanding. One of these days, I will download them and just send a link to all the pictures from: camping, and 1 year birthday. We also should be getting his 1 year pictures from Krista soon. Can't wait to see them, and I will forward the link so you can all enjoy those pictures as well.

Here is another picture from school yesterday. Look, Aunt Teresa he fits in the outfit you bought him for his birthday. What a cute lil' rocker!

Take care.

Zander is becoming a toddler

Oh boy where do I even begin? I just realized I have not posted in over a month.

At the end of April we went to Portland to visit Kurt (my bro), Gret, and Rory , Kalli (my sis), Mark, Nathan, Tyler, AJ and Reese. It was a fantastic week. Have you been on the edge of your seat wondering how Zander did on his first plane ride? He did amazing. He loved all the new things to look at as well as the new toy I bought just for the plane ride. He loved looking over the seat at all the passengers. He flirted with a woman sitting behind us so much that she asked if she could hold him. Since we were up in the air we knew it was ok. So she held and played with him for about a half hour. Zander got to meet Kurt, Gret and Rory. Kurt had a lovely Mohawk and now we are debating giving Zander one, to be just like his uncle. While in Portland we were able to have an adult night out – we all went out (Kurt,Gret, Kalli, Mark and us) we went on a brewery tour while Nathan babysat Zman, even changing an explosive diaper and putting him to bed. We went to Voodo Donuts in Portland about four times. It’s a very interesting donut shop with odd donuts such as: cock-n-balls donut, Memphis Mafia, Tex-Ass, and Tony’s favorite Bacon Maple bar (maple donut with bacon on top). I was able to do a little shopping, I also went to one of Nathan’s tennis match and we went to AJ/Reese’s football game. Oh, and let’s not forget it was about 50 degrees and rainy the entire week. They were trying to get us to move out there but with that much rain I would be depressed, and that is NOT good. So it’s best if I visit but next time we will plan our week better and avoid rain. Oh wait, it rains 363 days out of the year….(just kidding Portland family!)

Since the Portland trip, Zander is crawling! And loving life. Last night he was wanting to climb on the fireplace and I kept telling him no, he would look back at me and giggle. He would get a little closer I would say no, he would laugh again. I wanted to start laughing but knew I couldn’t so I kept telling him no. I was thinking, oh he is already a little sh*t. Tonight he hasn’t attempted to get close to the fireplace, maybe he is listening to me. Haha. Who am I kidding?

So milestones and updates on Zander:
-He hates the swimming pool. I bought an inflatable pool and put him in there on Saturday –he screamed, then we tried again on Sunday he cried, didn’t scream. I don’t want him to hate water like me, so we will keep introducing him to the pool and water.
-He walks with his walker all over the house and smiles, he loves crawling to a place to pull himself up, then he does a little dance.
-He turns one in 18 days. Wow, where did the year go, right?
-He is moving up to the next classroom at daycare – he will be a Monkey on July 6th. Our boy is growing up. He is actually the youngest in his class but one of the first to move up. Oh, yes we can say he is a genius or Ms. Rachel and Ms. Stacey want to get rid of him. Yes, I agree – he is a genius!
-He gives kisses when you ask for one. Oh, and it is the open mouth slobber type.
-He LOVES books, he will look at books and bring us books to read to him. I am not sure where he got that from – we all know Tony nor I are bookworms…

Ok, a few more updates from the Vosberg family. We bought a camper, yes that is correct – Kacey and Tony bought a camper. Ms. High maintenance and Mr. I hate camping. We pick up the camper on Thursday (tomorrow) then we are off camping this weekend with Amy (Tony’s sis), Erik and Grace (she turns 2 on Tuesday). Then we have a summer of camping fun.
We went to the Cubs game in Chicago for Tony’s birthday and if you remember we were in row 1, well it ended up being row 3, so we didn’t get hit by a ball.

I have my first day back at school tomorrow. I am taking two classes - Monday, Marketing Principles and Thursday, Environment and Consumption. After this semester, one semester left, then it's time to celebrate!

Here are a few pictures of the cutie pie:

First Mother's Day. The boys made it a special day for me!

This is Zander at daycare last week. Here is the post from the teachers: Zander watched his friends run around the pack n plays. He would babble and wave his hands in excitement when they ran by him.

Videos will be coming soon.

Forget Crawling

Zander has yet to crawl however last week he pulled himself up on a shelf at daycare. The teachers were amazed and had to take a picture! He loves standing next to things and hates being on his belly, maybe he hates being on the gross floor and rather be closer to the action.

We celebrated Tony's birthday Thursday (Earth day), oh wait we "celebrated" by going to Red Robin. Yep, it's official we are parents and going to kid friendly places, plus Tony loves the Banzi burger. Well except for the weekend of May 15th when we headed to Chicago to see a Cubs game at Wrigley field. That is what Tony got for his birthday. Of course we are spending the night conveniently on Michigan Ave so we can go shopping the next day!! I got him (us) tickets behind first base in the first row. I thought if I was going to a baseball game we might as well be as close as possible. May even catch a foul ball.

We are off to Portland in just a few days - we leave Thursday morning at 5:30 am. We are looking forward to seeing Kalli, Mark, Nathan, Tyler, AJ, Reese, Kurt, Gret, and Rory.

Here is another picture from daycare - Monday outside. As you can tell he loves being outside.

Finally, the semester is over!

Yes, the semester is over. This was the hardest semester yet, but with only two semesters left - four classes I am on the home stretch! No more three classes a semester. I have been done since Wednesday and enjoying every moment not worrying about homework! It's fantastic and even better I am finally getting caught up on my to do list.

This picture was taken this morning. He had just finished eating and he was whining because he likes to eat, but he was done. So I removed the tray and as he was whining I put the camera up to take a picture and he immediately stopped whining and started doing "so big!" Rory, notice he has on your favorite bib! :-) Thanks for giving that to him. We use it all the time.

This is Zander in the tub with a new toy from Aunt Teresa. He loves watching the water and lights appear. He plays with it at bath time!

Zander is enjoying the nice weather we are having. Today we sat outside supervising Tony pruning the bushes and trees. He even got some sun!

Tony and I are going on date night tonight! Zander is staying at Grandma Bonnie and Grandpa Tom's house (my Mom & Stepdad). We are going out to dinner then heading to Sun Prairie for Casey's birthday celebration at a bar with a live band. Teresa will be taking pictures as we all know I am not good at posting pictures. So check her blog in a few days to see pictures!

Enjoy the rest of the weekend.

19 days (and counting) until we go to Portland!
