Where did the time go - Zander is 2!

What has Zander been up to now that he is a toddler?

*He loves trucks, cars and sports. 100% boy.
*He is getting more verbal and getting better at telling us what he wants as well as putting two or three words together.
*He went to his first fair last weekend - Fort Fest (my hometown) and he loved riding on the kiddie rides. The carousel, cars and the cho-cho train. We didn't buy many tickets in case he didn't like it and of course he proved us wrong. He was not happy when we had to tell him we were out of tickets.
*He has moved up at school to the Elephant room, they take potty training seriously.
*He went on his first field trip last week to the new dream park in Cottage Grove. He rode on the Kids Safari bus (his daycare bus). A few weeks ago they had transportation week at school and they went outside to see the bus and Zander cried when they got close to the bus. All the teachers were prepared for him to have a melt down, but he proved us wrong by walking right up into the bus like he knew what to do! He sat with his friend Preston. I have attached a few pictures from the field trip.

Some family news - Zander is going to be a big brother. I am 12 weeks, due January 16th. I am feeling the same as I did with Zander – sick and can only eat a few things. We tried to have date night last night which ended early due to me being sick. I am looking forward to the sickness going away. Looking back, I can’t believe I went to school three nights a week while being sick. What was I thinking?!

Best of buddies - Zander with his friend Preston. They are the early morning crew at school, they both arrive around 7 and are quite excited when they see each other.

Just a swinging.

Zander started a gang called the Cribs, as you can tell they are pretty tough.

Zander had a visitor

AJ from Portland, OR sent us his buddy Flat Stanley. He became part of our family for a week. We even had to do emergency surgery because Zander was loving him too much! Here are some
pictures of Flat Stanley during his visit.

We stopped by the capitol.

He found our candy drawer!

The boys going potty together.

We are looking forward to seeing all my siblings the end of this week. We are heading to Indiana to visit my Dad and Bernita, my Grandma Marion and Grandma/Grandpa Miiller. Watch out Goodland Indiana, the 5 K's will be in town!

March - my favorite month of the year!

Why? March madness baby! Plus inevitable end of winter.

Alright so update on Mr. Zander - as you can imagine he is quite the little toddler. He absolutely loves football, basketball and cars. The biggest milestone - peeing in the potty. He has been sitting on the potty for the last few weeks but two Wednesdays ago at school he peed in the potty twice - 9:15 and 2:40! He has gone about once a day since. His reward is picking out a sticker and putting it on his "pee pee chart" he is quite proud of himself after accomplishing this milestone. It's a start to what we hope will become Zander in big boy panties.

Another fantastic milestone - each time he sees a basketball game on TV, he says "Go Indiana!" I couldn't be more proud.

We went to Mexico early February - yes, we were lucky enough to be sitting in the sun while Wisconsin was getting blasted with the worst blizzard in a decade. It was a lovely time with Daryl and Jess. We really just relaxed - I even read three books while sitting on the beach. We were able to watch the super bowl in English on the beach. Can't get better than that - oh, wait it did - Packers won!

Zander likes to help with laundry.

And loves the camera!

This is the view from our beach chair - infinity pool -now you know why we never left the chair!

Kristen - this picture is for you!

Merry Christmas

Here are a few pictures of Zander from school.

A few quick updates on Zander:
-We just had his 18 month check-up, I know hard to believe he is already 1.5 years old. He weighed 27 pounds, 32 inches long.
-He is talking quite a bit, we are just not sure who he gets that trait from - Tony or me?
-He still loves, loves books. Now that is a trait neither Tony or I have, so we are quite puzzled who he got that from! :-)

This is our Christmas card, so enjoy.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Love,
Kacey, Tony and Zander

Zander is loved!

Hello everyone!
I thought I would share a few pictures from Zander's school. He has moved up to the Gazelle room last week with his friend Luke. I just had to share this picture!

Here are a few more from school on Friday.

A few more updates:
-One month until I am done with school. Hard to believe it's almost over, but I am oh so ready to be done.
-A week from Tuesday my family begins to arrive home for Thanksgiving! Looking forward to seeing everyone (except Kurt, Gret, and Rory-still hoping they find cheap tickets!) So it should be a fun filled family bonding time.
-Zander got his first haircut at a salon two weeks ago. Let's just say he did not like sitting in a chair with a clippers at his head. He looks like a big boy now!

Take care -
Tony, Kacey and Zander

Two posts in one week!

I posted on Sunday so if you haven't read that - you can read two posts from us in one week.

Anyway, I had to share a few pictures from school (aka daycare) this week because they were too funny not to share.

Here is the post from his teacher - Ms. Kathy: Zander wasn't too sure about playing with the leaves that were in the bucket. He shook his head no when I asked him if he wanted to hold any. But then he brought over his vacuum to clean up our mess. So cute!

Zander and Luke thought it was funny to help Ms. Stacy stomp on the leaves!!

Zander went over to sit on the soft climber after I asked him to come over and join us. (Doesn't he like as if, he's so sad to play with leaves).
